What is Food Security
Food security is one of the most critical challenges facing humanity in the 21st century. Defined by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) as a condition in which "all people, at all times, have physical, social and economic access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food that meets their dietary needs and food preferences for an active and healthy life," food security goes beyond mere availability of food.
